Die Karnischen Alpen werden als nationaler Geopark gef\u00fchrt. Die Kooperationspartner des Erz der Alpen UNESCO Global Geoparks sind der Inselsberg \u2013 Drei Gleichen UNESCO Global Geopark in Th\u00fcringen und der nationale Geopark Porphyrland in Sachsen, Deutschland. Eine strategische Partnerschaft besteht zur \u201eEiszeitlandschaft Chiemgau\u201c, im speziellen zum Naturkunde- und Mammutmuseum in Siegsdorf \/ Bayern und der Universt\u00e4t Salzburg.
